Specimen No. 1 is part of an ongoing series of fantastical samples of growing organisms. These works come from a sense of curiosity and from paying close attention to what surrounds me. I portray human interactions, images, textures, and colors that continuously transform in my own mind, extending life to lifeless subjects as if they exist in their own fertile medium.
